Classroom Support

Funding Flexibility

Managing Classroom Size
Each year, IPSF provides a significant amount of funding to the Irvine Unified School District for Classroom Support. These funds enable school site principals to have greater flexibility in managing classrooms with larger class sizes.

Additional Staffing Hours
Middle and high schools receive additional staffing hours, enabling schools to add sections of core curriculum classes and reduce class sizes across the board. Elementary schools receive additional hours of qualified instructional assistants who provide support to larger class sizes, allowing for small group learning in critical areas.

Based on Enrollment
The amount of classroom support funding provided to each school is determined by IUSD based on enrollment figures.
