United in Support of Educational Excellence
Please know that the health and safety of our community is our top priority. We appreciate your partnership and will continue to update this site with the latest information regarding the status of IPSF programs or events.
To Our Amazing Irvine Community:
The past few weeks have been a challenging time for all of us but I am grateful knowing that our strength as a community will give us the hope that we need to get through this together.
For over 20 years, it has been IPSF’s mission to enrich the educational experience of each child in every school by providing programs for our awesome students, raising funds for our incredible schools, and uniting the community in support of educational excellence. This much has not changed, and IPSF remains committed to being by your side thorough the weeks and months ahead. Because as a community united in support of our children, we can overcome anything!
IPSF works with partners throughout the year to ensure that your child has incredible educational opportunities at school, after school, during the summer, and now, while distance learning. Free resources and tools can be found below, and will continue to be updated. Whether you are looking for a school lunch, or a fun coding activity, or mental health and wellness resources for your loved ones, we’ve compiled resources to help support you through this turbulent time.Read More
Partnership in Action: Keeping Students Connected
Emergency Distance Learning has been a huge adjustment for students, teachers, and parents, but for many families, lack of access to technology and digital access creates an even greater challenge. Thanks to support from our partners at Google Fiber, we are helping to close the digital divide by providing more than 150 hotspots to families in need. Internet service, paired with chromebook access provided by the district, helps to create digital inclusion so that students are able to fully engage in distance learning opportunities during this challenging time. We are so fortunate to be a part of a community that continues to come together in support of educational excellence.
Based on the current information that we have from our local partner agencies at this time, our summer classes and camps are planned to proceed as scheduled. Registration is now open and we are looking forward to an awesome summer with your child!
IPSF is sensitive to parent concerns and the anxiety this situation may cause for students and families. Please know that IPSF is working closely with local agencies to monitor the situation and has plans in place should modifications to our program be necessary to help protect the well-being of our students. We will always communicate any changes to all families enrolled in our program, and provide our community with accurate and timely information as this situation evolves.
Please be aware that as a small non-profit organization, we are only able to offer refunds before the deadline on May 22, with 50% refund available until May 27, so that we are able to secure appropriate staffing for your child’s summer experience. In the event that classes are cancelled by IPSF for any reason, full refunds will be issued to those registered. You may refer to the complete refund policies and deadlines on page 4 of the catalog.Register for Summer
Parents Appreciating Teachers & Staff (PATS)
IPSF kicked off our annual PATS campaign recently to recognize the dedicated men and women of IUSD and raise funds for innovation grants that have the ability to transform student learning. I am happy to let you know that the PATS program will continue digitally! PATS can be purchased online, and your personalized message will be included on a digital certificate of appreciation and sent to the teachers or staff members of your choice via email. Irvine teachers and staff are working harder than ever to equip students with the tools, resources and support that are needed to get them through this time of Emergency Distance Learning (EDL), and your words of gratitude and appreciation can go a long way! And, by ordering PATS, you are also supporting our Innovative Grants Program and making additional funds available to grant teachers with extraordinary ideas to keep teaching and learning in Irvine at the cutting edge of educational excellence.Order PATS

Additional IUSD Resources
Our district has compiled a list of resources for everything from how to talk to your child about COVID-19, to tips for managing screen time, and amazing online learning tools.
Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Irvine Public Schools Foundation continues to closely monitor the situation regarding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), following guidelines from our local agencies including the Irvine Unified School District (IUSD), Orange County Department of Education (OCDE), and Orange County Health Care Agency. We continue to work in partnership with the school district and follow their lead. This is a rapidly evolving situation and the District will continue to update our community. To view that latest updates, please visit IUSD’s COVID-19 website at: https://iusd.org/covid-19-resource-page.
Keeping our Community Healthy
The best way to prevent infection is to avoid being exposed to this virus. Right now, COVID-19 has not been found to be spreading in Orange County, so there are no additional precautions recommended for residents to take. However, as a reminder, the CDC always recommends everyday preventive actions to help prevent the spread of respiratory viruses, including:
- Stay home except for essential needs.
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
- Stay home when you are sick.
- Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
