Development Associate

Irvine Public Schools Foundation, an education non-profit headquartered in Irvine, CA, currently has an immediate opening for a Development Associate to join our team. Irvine Public Schools Foundation's mission is to enrich the educational experience of each child in every school. We achieve this by providing programs, raising funds, and uniting the community in support of educational excellence. This position reports to the Chief Development Officer.

Under the supervision of the Chief Development Officer, the Development Associate is responsible for supporting and contributing to all aspects of IPSF's fundraising activities and efforts, and is wholly responsible for the design and development of all procedures related to the management of donation information and the creation of all reporting and data extraction needed for recognition, targeting, direct mail and any other campaign or fundraising goals. This person will also contribute with specific responsibilities for campaign management activities and fundraising events. Duties include but are not limited to: designing procedures and managing processing for all donations, performing research on prospects, grants, or sponsorships, creating, analyzing, and generating reports, and assisting the Executive Vice President in identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding potential donors.

Qualified candidates will have the demonstrated ability to manage multiple and competing deadlines, have the ability to work independently, use critical thinking skills and judgment to problem-solve, and be well organized. Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office tools are required. A bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years in relevant data management are required. At least 3 years experience in nonprofit development and community outreach is highly desirable.

Typical hours would be Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with periodic attendance at evening and weekend events required. This is a full-time, exempt position with annual compensation commensurate with experience.

Chief Development Officer

Irvine Public Schools Foundation, an education non-profit headquartered in Irvine, CA, currently has an immediate opening for a Chief Development Officer to join our team. Irvine Public Schools Foundation's mission is to enrich the educational experience of each child in every school. We achieve this by providing programs, raising funds, and uniting the community in support of educational excellence. This position reports directly to the President and Chief Executive Officer.

A key member of the IPSF senior management team, the Chief Development Officer provides direction and day-to-day management of IPSF's fundraising. The Chief Development Officer serves as fundraiser-in-chief and will lead the Development Department in identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding potential individual and corporate donors.
The Chief Development Officer supervises the Director of Business Development, Development Associate, and Development Specialist, managing corporate fundraising and major gifts development, and providing operational oversight to meet the organization's strategic goals.

Qualified candidates will possess a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 7 years related experience and a proven track record in fund raising, including securing major gifts; MBA or master's degree highly desirable. Successful candidates will have the demonstrated ability to manage and mentor staff as well as significant experience in fundraising and fiscal management. Prior non-profit experience is required.

Typical hours would be Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with attendance at evening and weekend events required. This is a full-time, exempt position with annual compensation commensurate with experience. Relocation expenses are not available.
