Executive Vice President

Irvine Public Schools Foundation (IPSF), an education non-profit headquartered in Irvine, CA, has an immediate opening for an Executive Vice President to join our team. Irvine Public Schools Foundation’s mission is to enrich the educational experience of each child in every school. We achieve this by providing programs, raising funds, and uniting the community in support of educational excellence.

A key member of the IPSF senior management team, the Executive Vice President provides strategic direction and day-to-day management of IPSF’s programs and services with oversight of an $8 million annual operating budget. The Executive Vice President values networking and understands their role in building support for IPSF while growing and protecting the reputation of the organization as a leading educational foundation in the state.  The Executive Vice President supervises the Chief Development Officer, Chief Program Officer, and the Director of Marketing and Communications, and is accountable for building and developing high performing teams, managing corporate fundraising and major gifts development, coordinating functions for program expansion, and providing operational oversight to meet the organization’s strategic goals. Reporting directly to the President/CEO and working closely with the Board of Trustees, the Executive Vice President will be integral to making the foundation’s systems and programs strong and effective and guiding the organization’s future growth.

The Executive Vice President possesses a high level of broad business and management skills and is effective at generating resources and financial support for the organization.  Qualified candidates will possess a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 7 years related experience and a proven track record in fundraising and program management; Master’s Degree or MBA is highly preferred. Successful candidates will have the demonstrated ability to manage and mentor staff as well as significant experience in program budgeting and fiscal management. A proven track record of facilitating change management and operating as an effective tactical, strategic thinker are needed. Prior non-profit experience is highly desirable.

Typical hours would be Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with attendance at evening and weekend events required periodically. This is a full-time, exempt position with annual compensation commensurate with experience.

Program Specialist (CPO Assistant)

Irvine Public Schools Foundation, an education non-profit headquartered in Irvine, CA, currently has an immediate opening for a Program Specialist (CPO Assistant) to join our team. Irvine Public Schools Foundation's mission is to enrich the educational experience of each child in every school. We achieve this by providing programs, raising funds, and uniting the community in support of educational excellence. This position reports to the Chief Program Officer and is a full-time, non-exempt position.

Under the supervision of the Chief Program Officer, the Program Specialist provides support to the Chief Program Officer and the Program Department by performing a variety of administrative and clerical duties to support all aspects of IPSF's program activities and efforts. Duties include but are not limited to: processing fees, data entry to maintain accurate records, answering phones, responding to general emails from individuals and organizations, copying, faxing, filing, and mailing. 

Qualified candidates will have the demonstrated ability to manage multiple and competing deadlines, use critical thinking skills to problem-solve, must be extremely detail orientated and well organized. Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office tools are required and essential for this position. Passion for the mission of IPSF is critical. A high school diploma and a minimum of 3 years in relevant office experience are required.

Typical hours would be Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with periodic attendance at evening and weekend events required. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a minimum pay rate starting at $15 per hour. Position also qualifies for a Cafeteria Plan to which IPSF contributes $500/month (additional $6,000 a year and tax free if used on medical or dependent care expenses).
