SOUL OF KOREA

On September 24, 2017, the Soul of Korea will debut a captivating variety show at the Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall. The evening will be a celebration of music, dance, heritage and culture by Korean American youth from Irvine.

The evening, hosted by the Irvine Korean Parents Association (IKPA), will showcase talent by the Korean American performers from the Korean American Youth Performing Association (KAYPA) and the Korean American Music Academy (KAMA), an internationally renowned pianist, Sung Chang, award-winning young soloists, Sean Lee and Daniel Paik, and feature Pacific Symphony Youth Orchestra and its conductor, Dr. Roger Kalia, as guest artists. In honor of the theme, Embracing Diversity, friends from the community will model in a Fashion Show featuring Korean Hanbok presented by Chosun Myungju LA.

Tickets are available to purchase online at www.scfta.org. Ticket prices range from $20-$50.

Proceeds from this concert provide financial support for the Program to Advance Cultural Education (PACE) KOREA, a program in partnership with Irvine Public Schools Foundation (IPSF), which provides learning opportunities for Irvine Unfired School District (IUSD) educators to deepen their understanding of Korean Culture and heritage to better serve the needs of students in the growing Korean population in Irvine.
