On Saturday, October 16, Irvine Public Schools Foundation supporters came together for the CHEERS to 25! celebration at the one-of-a-kind venue, Pop Up On The Park, sponsored and hosted by our incredible partners at FivePoint. Over 150 guests enjoyed a lovely fall evening filled delicious bites and sips from the new Pop Ups chefs, live music including Portola High School musicians, and lively conversation, to help raise increased funding to support this year’s Innovative Grants Program.

Each year, IPSF offers teachers and staff in the Irvine Unified School District the opportunity to apply for funds through the Innovative Grants Program to implement new and creative approaches to teaching and counseling. The purpose of this grant program is to support innovation in schools by awarding funds to launch new curriculum and improve the educational experiences of students.

“In honor of IPSF’s 25th anniversary we are excited to increase our commitment to teachers by funding $250,000 for the Innovative Grants Program – awarding 25 schools or departments with $10,000 grants!,” said Neda Eaton, President and CEO of IPSF.  “With the help of generous supporters during IPSF’s Cheer’s to 25 Years kickoff event, spearheaded by a generous $30,000 gift from The Haddad Family, we exceeded our goal to make this increased funding possible.”

During the event, the Mayor of Irvine, Farrah Khan, presented IPSF with a proclamation declaring October 21 as IPSF Giving Day.

These two events were the official kick of IPSF’s 25th Anniversary. We hope you join IPSF in celebrating this milestone year and help us continue to provide the students of Irvine with educational excellence through donating to the Educational Excellence Fund
