IPSF Scholarships

IPSF Scholarship for the Arts in Honor of Will Ferrell

In celebration of our 20th Anniversary, Irvine Public Schools Foundation has established the IPSF Scholarship for the Arts in Honor of Will Ferrell. This $10,000 scholarship will be awarded to a qualified IUSD high school student graduating in June 2017 and planning to pursue post-secondary education. We are seeking a student who exemplifies a passion for the Arts whether in music, dance or theater, or creative extra curricular activities, and has that certain spark defined by Will Ferrell, IUSD alumnus and internationally-acclaimed actor, comedian, producer, and writer.

The goal for the scholarship is to inspire developing talent who stand out to teachers and peers for their originality, but may otherwise go unnoticed – the student with the witty way of viewing life, who embodies a creative spirit and is a well-rounded student. The young artist who sees the beauty in struggle or the one who perseveres despite setbacks. The application period for this scholarships is now closed. The scholarship presentation will take place at the Spirit of Excellence Gala in October.

Congratulations to our 2016 Dr. Kevin Armstrong Recipient, Sarah Verdegan!
