A Day on the Green at IPSF’s 14th Annual Golf Tournament 

What a day! On May 7, we hosted our 14th Annual Tee It Up for Education Golf Tournament at the beautiful Strawberry Farms Golf Club, and it was a hole-in-one kind of day in every way. We had a full course with 120 amazing golfers, perfect weather, and most importantly, a community that came together to raise over $179,000 (with matching support from the City of Irvine) for Irvine Public Schools Foundation. Talk about a power swing for education! 

Our incredible Tournament Chair Aaron C. Olson of Fifth Third Bank helped lead the charge, welcoming business, civic, and education leaders from all around Orange County. Whether people came for the golf, the cause, or both—we were blown away by the energy and generosity out on the course. 

A Fun New Twist This Year… Students on the Tee!
One of the highlights this year? Students from Portola High School’s golf team joined us on select Par 3 holes for a special activation. Golfers could make a donation and have a student take the shot for them—and let’s just say, those kids have some serious game! It was such a fun, and humbling, way to get the students involved and remind us all who we’re really doing this for. 

We had the support of over 40 companies and community organizations, including Eagle Sponsors: AutoNation Toyota Irvine, Fifth Third Bank, Rainbow Rising, and Strawberry Farms Golf Club. Without them—and without YOU—none of this would be possible. 

Irvine Unified is one of the fastest-growing school districts in the country but still receives almost $5,500 less funding per student per year than the national average. That’s why what we do at IPSF is so important. Events like this help us fund critical programs, support teachers and staff, and provide enrichment opportunities that go beyond the classroom.
